**Alder**

The Alder tree is known as the King of the waters with Willow being its Queen. It ability to withstand rot under water has been highly valued and much of Venice is built on Alder wood. The Green dye from its flowers was believed to colour the clothes of the Faerie folk and it was believed to bleed when cut due to its change from pale wood to deep orange.

**The Runes**

This is a set of 13 Alder Wood Witches Runes which have been Hand Decorated with the Art of Pyrography. These Runes are very Tactile and are a pure joy to use. The Runes measure approx 5/8" (1.5cm) in diameter and are 1/4" (6mm) thick

The Runes come with their own Handmade Brown Suedette drawstring Pouch with a beaded thong. This beautiful Pouch measures approx 4 1/4" by 4 3/4" (11cm by 12cm)

The Rune Set and the Pouch also come with a Full Instruction Leaflet containing the Rune symbols and their Meanings, and Casting Instructions making this an ideal Yuletide gift.
