Yew is one of the few Native British evergreens, an incredibly atmospheric Tree it can live for Thousands of years! The oldest British Yew, the Fortingall at Glen Lyon in Scotland is believed to be between 3000 and 5000 years old!
Sacred to the Goddess Hecate, the Crone Aspect of the Triple Goddess, it is the most Potent Tree for Protection against Evil and Wands made from the wood of a Yew are said to Banish Malevolent Forces

~The 'Dark Goddess' Wand~

This delightful Yew wand measures approx 9" (23cm) in length with a thickness of 5/8" (1.5cm) at its widest point which tapers to a gentle point. This is an exquisitely aged piece of Yew wood and has the most beautiful Ebony coloured knots! At its base and tip you can see the Flame Red colour of Yew's heartwood which travels through the entire wand to its tip! Onto the Hilt of this wand I have pyrographed a Dark Goddess design with her arms reaching towards a Crescent Moon. The Yew Tree is dedicated to Hecate, Goddess of the Underworld and Guardian of the other Realm. This wand is ideal to use to Honour Hecate and for all protection and Goddess magic!
