~The Dream Catcher~

This Dream Catcher Has been Handmade using Rowan Wood and decorated with Gold sheen Obsidian beads. We have also attached Crow feathers on the Base of the Dream catcher with a Black Macramé design and a Smoky Quartz Crystal. At the center of the Dream Catchers web is a Handmade Sculpture of A Raven Spirit Skull. On its forehead is a tiny Skull bead with two Opalite crystals beneath with the Runic symbol for Protection.

The Triangle Measures approx 13 1/4" (34cm) along each length with a 8 1/4" (21cm) web size
The length from the top of the hanger to the bottom of the Macrame and hanging Feathers is 30 1/4" (77cm)

**Rowan Wood**
The Rowan is a very protective Tree, it will bring Strength, Power and Success to any magic performed. It is also said to protect from Enchantment. Rowan wood is often made into Witches Wands and it is believed to increase Psychic Powers.
It is one of the ‘Nine woods’ from the Wiccan Rede, which reads~
‘Rowan is a tree of power, causing life and magic to flower’

~Dream Catchers~
Native Americans believe that the Night is filled with Dreams, Some are Good and some are Bad. The Dream Catcher was hung above the bed and with its intricate Web allowed the Good Dreams to pass through and drift gently down to the sleeping person beneath. The Bad dreams however would become lost and trapped within the Web which is were they would stay until the Light of day Banished them!

Traditionally they were made from Willow Wood that was either bent into a circular or Teardrop shape then the Web would be woven. Once complete it would be decorated with Leather, Beads and Feathers.
